About Deborah

I only look back to see how far I’ve come. In 2011 I was diagnosed with stage III cancer; by 2012 dying seemed like a good idea. I’d experienced ayahuasca thirty years ago and wasn’t even sure how to spell it when I sat at JHU struggling to hold a pencil to tell them about that and to bubble in answers to what seemed like a million questions on my psilocybin cancer research study application. Psilocybin treatment was pivotal - it began my transformation back to life, but my real Integration began when I studied with a Transformational Life Coach. That improved my health, my parenting, my job, my marriage and my way of looking at my life - the decisions I made and the roads I traveled. I’d been a bodyworker for decades, studied Conscious Breathwork and Rebirthing at Body Electric in Oakland in 1989, attended acupuncture school in San Francisco, tripped at Grateful Dead shows, became a cannabis activist lobbying for legalization and I trusted the Universe. I ditched the struggle - my JHU trip, so lovingly guided by Mary Cosimano and Marilyn Clark - showed me I had lifetimes of struggle. Did I get the message and hang up the phone? My child was only 12 when I had cancer; now she’s 20. I knew I wanted to live to be 90 years old, not live the same year 90 times. I did better than that. I knew my thoughts create my vibration; I studied with the best and became a certified life coach. I was Lois Lane by day, teaching high school English with meditation cleverly inserted, and Superpsychedelicoach by night - advising at a Baltimore cannabis dispensary when I was asked by Belgian filmmakers Andries deSmet and Robin Van Nuffel to appear in their Vimeo and MAPS released movie “The Psychedelic Renaissance” alongside US Army veteran Jonathan Lubecky. Jonathan and I were committed to helping Andries and Robin in their quest to bring psychedelic medicine for treating and healing trauma and depression to Belgium. Since that time I’ve been in three more movies about plant medicine, taught classes for a dispensary, led programs for Catharsis on the Mall and The DC Psychedelic Society, and speak internationally about the vibrational power of entheogens, including psychedelics and cannabis, and work toward decriminalization of psychedelics. I AM my best success story. In addition to individual coaching my next group begins in November. USE PSILOVEYOU for your special enrollment rate. And tell your new story.
